Studying in the United States of America is beneficial as it is practical, flexible and rewarding. The universities in the USA offer courses in every field of study. There are around 3800 colleges and universities in the USA, including 60% from the top 100 universities from the world. The advantage of studying in the USA is that students can move to another university, city, or state, can change the field at any time during their study often without wasting or losing any credits.

  • Fall : August/September

  • Spring : January/February

  • Summer : April/May

The deadlines for each intake are usually a few months before the start date. It is highly recommended that you apply early to maximise your chances for admission. Some universities even offer rolling admissions, i.e. admissions are open through the year. The major intake for the US is the Fall intake which offers the highest degree of competition but also features the largest number of corporate internships.

Work in USA

Indian citizens can apply for a US work visa as a non-immigrant after receiving an approval from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The application for most types of non-immigrant US work visas requires the employer to file a petition to the USCIS and only the approved petitions qualify for the application process. The visa application must be submitted along with the petition approval letter, completed application form, and specified documents. The US work visas are available under various categories based on the nature of work.

Visit USA

Any individual who wants to visit the United States of America for tourism purposes needs to have a B2 Visa. It is a non-immigrant visa, which is provided for various purposes such as travel, visits with relatives or friends, medical treatment, etc. The B2 visa is commonly known as the tourist visa.

To apply for a B2 visa, you have to prove to a consular officer that you qualify for the visa as per the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for a B-2 visa:

  • Complete the online application. You have to fill the DS-160 form.

  • Pay the visa fee. Print a copy of the payment confirmation page.

  • Schedule the visa appointment.To do so, you have to login on the visa page and click on Schedule Appointment, which is present on the left menu of the dashboard. You have to schedule 2 appointments. First appointment for the interview at the Consulate or Embassy and second appointment for the Visa Application Center (VAC).
